Player Mode you and a friend can choose any character you like, hero or villain, and then punch, hit and kick the snot out of each other. You can choose your opponent, the background and the difficulty level. This mode allows you to play as any of the heroes or villains. You must choose a hero and stick with him the entire contest, and after defeating all your super hero friends you must face Darkseid's allies Cheetah, Despero and ultimately Darkseid himself. The Hero Mode is for one player only and follows a comic bookish plotline.
Justice League Task Force features three modes of play. These fights are all part of alien emperor Darkseid's nefarious plan to rule the universe. Superman, Batman, The Flash and other Justice Leaguers are forced to not only beat up on the bad guys, but on each other and themselves as well. This fighting game pits some of the world's most famous (and not so famous) DC comics heroes against one another and against the forces of darkness in a series of one-on-one slug fests.
