Annapurna Interactive is a division of Annapurna Pictures - which is run by Megan Ellison, daughter of Oracle founder Larry Ellison - and made movies such as Her, Zero Dark Thirty, and Detroit. Once Esposito showed what he could do, Annapurna Interactive came in to finance the title and get it onto more platforms. It shows once again that many of the most creative titles in gaming spring from a single mind. Esposito is also cofounder of Glitch City LA, a collective and community space for indies in Los Angeles. Esposito, a Los Angeles developer who was previously a level designer for The Unfinished Swan and What Remains of Edith Finch, spearheaded this wonderfully creative title. It’s quirky, with a funny story about raccoons who try to take control of a county by monopolizing the trash of all the other animals and swallowing everything in the landscape with a donut hole. The person on the floor must give directions about how to position the donut.I’ve played the PlayStation 4 version, and it took me a couple of hours to get through it. For an added challenge, blindfold the person holding the pole.You can also rule that the entire donut must be eaten, so that any pieces which fall off must be tied back on and fished to the person on the floor.You can insist that the person on the floor keep the back of their head on the floor.The first pair with the donut eaten off of the string wins.Their partner must try to eat the donut off of the string.They should dangle the donut over their partner’s mouth. Give the other member of the pair the fishing pole.Have one member of each pair lie down on their back on the floor.If the donut does not have a good hole, use a skewer to poke the string through.
